COMPO ADROIT AF – GRAVIMETRIC LOSS-IN-WEIGHT BLENDER FOR STARVE FED EXTRUSION

COMPO ADROIT AF is specifically designed to blend pellets in starve fed extrusion processes, where high dosing accuracy and a homogeneous dispersion of additives are strictly required. Available from 2 to 6 ingredients and with throughput up to 200, 400 and 800 kg/h. Its modular structure allows to increase the number of dosing stations even after the installation.

Full gravimetric blending control of each individual component.
Load sense cells weigh all the material present in the dosing unit, including the one flowing through the auger screws.
Inclined screw feeders to improve metering accuracy and to prevent undesired dribble.
Auger screws are driven by brushless motors with a wide range of speeds up to 600rpm.

A cascade mixer provides excellent additive dispersion, including ingredients with different bulk densities or granule size.

Each dosing unit can be equipped with a slide gate or a butterfly type refill valve.

Slide gates are indicated for free flowing granules.
Butterfly valves are ideal for high bulk density materials with low flowability such flakes or regrind.

Auger screws suitable for granules, flakes or regrind with an wide throughput range.

All parts that come into contact with the ingredients are made of satin stainless steel, or of food-grade materials or finishes.

The on-board control box does not require any floor space.

Easily accessible auger screws for quick and thorough cleaning, no tools required.

Drain spout for easy and quick hopper emptying.

Manual slide gate for auger screw inspection without hopper emptying.

Practical and easy access to all components.

Feed hoppers with wide cleaning window for visual level control and quick cleaning.

Standard weights kit for load cells calibration. Dedicated spots for placing the calibration weights, for the safety of the operators and easy of use.

CONTINUOUS BLENDER OPERATION

Precise continuous loss in weight control.
Weight loss of each ingredient is measured.
All ingredients are simultaneously metered and conveyed by the auger screw in the cascade mixer and then directly into the extruder.
The feeders are individually controlled to achieve and maintain the expected blend proportions and to keep the preset throughput rate.

CASCADE MIXER ACTION

The ingredients are simultaneously metered in the right proportion directly into the cascade mixer where the different streams are mixed to form a homogenous blend with a perfect dispersion of additives.

Integrated loading system control (SmartConvey)

Fully automated loading system control, easy operated by the same interface used for gravimetric blenders. One or more vacuum pumps to serve more than one receivers whose association can be set through configuration. All receivers linked to the same pump are served in turn, according to a priority sequence automatically assigned. Loading active control to reduce ingredient at minimum on changeover

HT VERSION

High temperature version, specifically designed for hygroscopic materials, such as PET.
The blender is equipped with heat resistant components able to withstand temperatures up to 180° (356°F) and a series of protective shields to ensure the operator’s safety.
